Audio interview with Julie McManus - publish date: 07/24/2006

Brief Overview
A direct marketing professional with over a decade in the business, Julie got her start in direct mail as an Advertising Production Manager for trade book publisher CRC Press, a Times Mirror Company in the early 1990s. In 1996 the extremely well-rounded direct response pro started her own direct mail service bureau and quickly built it into a profitable business she eventually sold.

In early 2001 she joined financial newsletter publisher Weiss Research and held several positions including Sr. Marketing Manager of Weiss’ full service corporate direct marketing department responsible for mailing over 20 million direct mail promotions per year for its business to consumer and business to business product lines.

In May of 2005 she took the plunge to pursue her career as a freelance copywriter and marketing consultant.

She was quickly snapped up by long-time friend and Weiss consultant Clayton Makepeace to assist in launching his e-newsletter.

She has been dubbed “Jill of all Trades” responsible for copywriting, marketing, developing joint venture relationships, affiliate marketing and whatever else is needed to help grow the budding company.

You can find all of Clayton's products and services at The Total Package.
